Gary "Mike" Michael Headlee

Gary "Mike" Michael Headlee, 75, a longtime Miami resident passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mike was born on February 14, 1947 in Miami to Donald Courtney and Zazelle Onawa (Patty) Headlee. Mr. Headlee was a Veteran of the United States Airforce. While in the Airforce he served as a Special Police Officer during Vietnam. He worked at Goodrich until its closing, then owned his own repair business before working Maintenance at J&M Farms. Mike was a Lifetime Elks Lodge member a member of the American Legion and DAV. He served many years on the Funeral Honors Team with the American Legion and was also active placing flags in the community for Holidays. Mike was preceded in passing by his parents Donald and Zazelle Headlee and two brothers Donald Courtney Jr. and James “Bud” Headlee. Survivors include his wife Patricia Headlee of the home, his sons Justin Headlee and his wife Kelly of Miami and Damon Austin Headlee and his wife Chrissy of Miami, his grandchildren Austin Wayne Headlee of Joplin, Molly Breanne Headlee of Joplin, Andrew Micheal Headlee of Miami and Tyler James Headlee along with a great grandchild Lyrik Nemiah Goodson. Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Reverend Dwight Moeller officiating.
