Perry Hubert Duce

Perry Hubert Duce, 85, longtime resident of Marlow, Oklahoma, and six-year resident of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Hubert was born on August 8, 1935, in Dean, Texas, to Perry Harris and Nancy (Elsea) Duce. Hubert was a veteran of the United States Army, having served two years in Panama. He worked for the USDA as a Livestock Inspector until his retirement. He married the love of his life Phyllis Ann “Pat” (Turner) Duce on November 2, 1957. Hubert and Pat were members of the Church of the Nazarene and attended the Heritage Oaks Church in Duncan, Oklahoma. Hubert was preceded in death by his parents Perry and Nancy Duce, wife Phyllis “Pat” Duce, son Perry Hubert “Sonny” Duce Jr., and siblings Ellna Mae Edwards, Helen Burchfield, and Ruth O’Mealey. Those left to carry on Hubert’s legacy of love of God and family are daughter Lori Duce Stewart and husband Jeff Stewart of Miami, Oklahoma; son Alan Duce and wife Jan of Davison, Michigan; daughter-in-law Cindy Duce of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren Daniel Duce and wife Anna; Joseph Duce and wife Hannah; Laura Duce-Mosshart and husband Braden Mosshart; Sam Duce and wife Shelby; Rachel Stewart, Bekah Stewart, and Sarah Stewart; great-grandchildren Ellis Mosshart, Haddon Duce, and Vera Grace Duce; and sister Nova Fleming. On Friday, June 11, 2021, there will be a time of visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a celebration service at 11:00 AM at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Daniel Duce, Joseph Duce, Sam Duce, Laura Duce-Mosshart, Braden Mosshart, Rachel Stewart, Bekah Stewart, and Sarah Stewart. Hubert loved his country and wanted to honor those who serve to protect it.
