Mary Elizabeth Victor

Mary Elizabeth Victor, of Afton passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Leisure Living in Miami at the age of Ninety-one. Elizabeth was born on February 28, 1924 in Helena, Oklahoma to Samuel John and Marietta (Morean) Atchison. She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Elizabeth married Samuel Grant Victor on October 29, 1945. She and her husband were members of First Christian Church in Afton. Elizabeth worked at Security Bank and Trust in Afton for forty years; she enjoyed working with the people of Afton until her retirement in 2006. Mrs. Victor was preceded in passing by her parents Samuel and Marietta Atchison, her husband Samuel Grant Victor Sr., and her siblings, Charles Atchison, Robert Atchison and Dorothy Kotas. Survivors include her children Charlotte Ann Tipton and her husband Jack of Magnolia, Texas, Mary Rebecca Minson and her husband Dr. John of Duncan, Oklahoma, Samuel Grant Victor Jr. and his wife Donna of Afton, her grandchildren, Kelsey Cahill and her husband Darrell, Brent Tipton and his wife Leslie, Phillip Tipton, Dr. Brad Minson and his wife Cathy, Rhett Minson and his wife Megan, Dr. Lance Minson and his wife Beth, Trey Victor and his wife Tara, John Victor and Brooks Victor along with her great grandchildren Kayla Cahill, Tristan Josephson, Jackson Josephson, Riley Josephson, Hannah Cahill, Conner Tipton, Bryce Tipton, Chloe Tipton, Tara Tipton, Rose Tipton, Brady Tipton, Brooke Tipton, Eli Tipton, Jameson Minson, Avery Paige Minson, Braxton Rhett Minson, Cambry Minson, Ella Kate Minson, Aiden Grant Victor, Brynlee Ann Victor and Cade Alan Victor. Other survivors include two sister in laws Mary Atchison and Jean Atchison along with other relatives and her many friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Christian Church in Afton. Services for Elizabeth are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at First Christian Church in Afton with Leon Weece, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton. Casketbearers will be Kelsey Cahill, Brent Tipton, Phillip Tipton, Dr. Brad Minson, Rhett Minson, Dr. Lance Minson, Trey Victor, John Victor and Brooks Victor. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to First Christian Church in Afton.
