Lois Marie Reading

Lois Marie Reading, 77, a longtime Commerce resident passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Integris Miami Hospital. Lois was born on February 7, 1940 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to George Andrew and Myrtle Lucille (Kincheloe) Wise. She married Kenneth Leon Reading; he preceded her in passing on November 12, 1996. She worked most recently at DOCS delivering meals; she had also spent time at Big Smiths as a supervisor and the Ammunition Plant in Parsons. She sewed and enjoyed the lake and camping, but, most of all she enjoyed anything the grandkids and great grandchildren were involved in. Lois was preceded in passing by her parents, George and Myrtle Wise, her husband Kenneth Reading and her daughter in law Debbie Reading. Survivors include her children Kendall Reading of Commerce, Kevin Reading and his wife Lisa of Commerce, Kent Reading and his wife Michelle of Oolagah, her grandchildren Kayla Palmer and Justin Brown of Commerce, Justin Reading and his wife Jessi of Pittsburg, Kansas, Klint Reading and his wife Kelsey of Joplin, Kourtney Reading of Miami, Dakota Reading and his wife Shelby of Inola and Dillon Reading of Oolagah, her great grandchildren Kanice Brown, Krisalyn Palmer, Brandon Brown, Xander Reading, Cruze Reading, Karson Reading and Kensley Reading, her sisters Cub Hudson of Commerce and Irma Beck of Siloam Springs, Arkansas along with her many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Services will be on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Cooper Memorial Chapel in Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Following the Service in Miami there will be a visitation time from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Backstrom~Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs Arkansas. Burial will follow the visitation at Fairmont Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas. The family has asked that memorial Contributions be made to Commerce Public Schools Athletic Department.
