Gene Marshall

Gene Marshall, 79, a resident of Fairland passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 surrounded by his family. Gene was born June 3, 1935 in Fairland to Alvin Eugene and Ina Hazel (Rogers) Marshall. On June 3, 1954 he married his wife of sixty years Tallulah Corrine Williams. He joined the United States Army in 1955, upon his honorable discharge he worked at B.F. Goodrich then was self-employed. Mr. Marshall was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch; he served on the Fairland Public Schools Board of Education and was a founding member of Fairland Round up Club. Gene was preceded in passing by his parents Al and Hazel Marshall, a daughter Kathy Elaine Marshall, and a brother Donald (Donnie) William Marshall. Survivors include Gene’s wife Tallulah Marshall of the home, his son Kenny Marshall and his wife Diana of Fairland, their children and grandchildren, Amanda Prescott and her husband David, their children are Blake, Grady, Evan and Kendall, Megan Marshall and her children Karsten and Kyndric, his daughter Krista Oakley and her husband Steve, their children Kathy and Dusty Schilt, their children Taylor and Kambry, Stephanie Oakley, Brandon Oakley and his wife Tiffany, their children Natalie, Melanie, Callie and Rylie, Shelby Foster and her husband Thomas, their children Kendyle and Kylie, his son Kent Marshall and his wife Stacie and their son Dakota Marshall along with his aunt Virginia Pierce of Vinita. Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland. Mr. Marshall’s services are 2:00 PM at Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch with Mr. Steve Kropp officiating. Interment will follow at Fairland Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairland. Military Honors will be provided by Fort Sill Funeral Honors Team. Casketbearers will be Kenny Marshall, Kent Marshall, Dakota Marshall, Brandon Oakley, Steve Oakley and Blake Prescott. Honorary Casketbearers will be Joe Clapp, Don Kropp, Gary Reynolds, Pete Delozier, Dean Powell and Argil Gross.
