Donald G. Hall

Donald G. Hall a longtime Miami resident and business owner passed away at his home on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the age of sixty-nine. Mr. Hall was born on November 13, 1944 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Clyde “Pete” and Ellerea “Babe” (Memmer) Hall. Don and his wife Patricia moved to the Miami area in 1970. Don started a mechanic shop, he then owned DAS Don’s Auto Salvage for many years. He was also a cattle rancher and had rental houses. Don enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and demolition derby. He was preceded in passing by his parents Clyde and Ellerea Hall and his great grandson Trent Wayne Chandler. Survivors include his wife Patricia (Hail) Hall of the home, his children Don Hall Jr., Fran Radley and Daniel Marsh, Michael Wayne Hall and his wife Adrienne, his grandchildren; Devon Marie Brush, Joshua Adam Hall, Jared Lee Hall, Kristine Elizabeth Taylor, Terry Allen Bowers, Tasha Ann Bowers and Benjamin Michael Hall, his great grandchildren Ryder James Rush, Blake Ryerson Rush, Braden Adam Hall, Jaxon Lee Hall, Brooke “Brooklyn” Elizabeth Taylor, Mahkayla Lee “KK” Taylor, Zoey “ ZOZO” Rose Adams, Dawson “Dot Dot” Billy Paul Adams, Nathaniel Dean Bowers, Eithain Jamean Waldon, a brother Clyde Hall Jr. and his wife Virginia and his nieces Brittany, Ashley, Kelsey and all the grandkids that rode in Papa Don’s church bus. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Hudson Creek Baptist Church in Fairland with Pastor Jerry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Casketbearers will be Tim Bradley, Sanford Johnson, Larry Fleming, Bobby Arms, Michael Hall and Don Hall Jr. Honorary Casketbearers will be Garent Hoover, Andy Arms, Anthony Reynolds, Jared Hall, Byron Bradley, Joshua Hall, Clyde Hall Jr. and Larry Morgan. The family would like to request that everyone dress casual, blue jeans and a white t-shirt would be appropriate.
