Kathryn E. Holt

Kathryn Elizabeth Younger Holt passed away surrounded by her family at 4:00pm on January 17th, 2017. Kathy was born in Miami, Ok on August 15th, 1955 to Nancy Chambers and Bill Younger. She grew up and raised her family in Miami, Ok with her husband of 38 years, John Houston Holt. Kathy enjoyed playing tennis as a young girl and attending church with her grandparents and family. Kathy and John traveled the United States as young adults while John pipelined; they were married on February 8th, 1978 and settled down in Miami, Ok to start their family. Kathy raised 3 children and attended college before accepting a job at the City of Miami in 1993, where she would later retire. Kathy was a kind, generous, well loved woman that was always there to lend a hand or help others in any way she could. She was a supportive, loving wife and mother. Kathy was an honest woman who lived her life guided by love. She above all else loved her grandkids, she was a devoted fan of Honey badger soccer and any sport or event her grandkids took part in, she rarely missed an event. Kathy is preceded in death by her much cherished, only son, Coleman Houston Holt, her father, Bill Younger, brother, Robbie Younger, beloved grandparents, Bob and Gladys Chambers and Thelma Younger, and her Aunt, Peggy Blair. She is survived by her husband, John, her daughter Cassie Holt, her daughter and son in law Beth and Chad Hopping all of Miami, her mother and stepfather, Nancy and Richard Palicka of San Clemente, Ca, a sister and her husband, Debbie and John Hanna of Miami, and a brother and his wife, Dee and Cindy Younger of Bishop, Ca, 4 nieces and nephews, Jessica, Christian, Nicole, and Austin all of California, and her 5 beloved grandkids, Anthony, Beca, River, Remington, and Coley. Visitation is 6-8PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Services are 2:00 PM at Friday, January 20, 2017 at Bethany Christian Church with the Reverend Geoff Buffalo officiating. Interment will follow at the Glen-Abbey Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest with her son Coleman Holt. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Northeast Oklahoma Soccer Association in her honor.
